The Our World Irish Aid Awards lesson plans are available for 3rd/4th or 5th/6th class.

Our lesson plans are designed to further your pupil’s understanding of the United Nation’s Global Goals for Sustainable Development and how Irish Aid is working hard to make sure every human being is included and treated fairly and equally so that we can all build a better world for our families, and lead pupils on a global citizenship journey.

Lesson Plan 1 (Equality for All) has been designed to accompany our pupil’s magazine. Lesson Plans 2-4 delve deeper into Global Citizenship Education topics and offer even more engaging activities, interesting stories, and important information about the work of Irish Aid.

All lesson plans this year are available in English and Irish and are now in editable, PowerPoint format for use in the classroom or at home. Before teaching our lessons, you may wish to read our Good Practice Guidelines (available on the 3rd/4th and 5th/6th class pages) which offer helpful tips on what to consider when discussing sensitive topics in the classroom.
